Star Check-out Guidelines

1. You must check out prior to the Star Showcase, in order to receive your star during the Awards Ceremony.
2. If you cannot attend the showcase, you will still receive your star, after the showcase.
3. There is no charge for your pin; however, there is a reasonable fee for your Check-out.

1. Please sign up for routines and freestyles for each showcase.
2. Please Sign up for routines at least 4 months before a showcase.
3. Routines may be 45 seconds to two minutes in length.
4. Routines may be danced with another student, teacher, or student-teacher.
5. Routines danced with a teacher or teacher-student require at least 6 private lessons. You will receive 10% off private lessons for routines!
6. If you do not have the help of a teacher, please have your music ready, and clearly marked, on a CD.
7. Freestyles can be danced with another student, teacher, or student-teacher. We will take care of the music.
8. Freestyles danced with a Teacher or Student-teacher do not require private lessons; but at least one is recommended.
9. Freestyles will be one to two minutes in length.
10. There is no fee for Routine or Freestyle Sign-ups!

1. Check-outs are to be scheduled with a Teacher or Student-teacher on an individual basis.
2. You may only advance to a higher level class if you check-out of all stars in your current level.
3. During the Check-out you will be given the names of Elements, Techniques, and Amalgamations. You must dance or show your part. You also will be given a professional critique on your overall dancing.
4. You will receive a rhinestone on your star if you can demonstrate both the lead and the follow in all elements.

Star Check-out Fee Schedule

White Star - Only $15 + tax! - 10-20 min.
Yellow Star - $25 + tax - 20-25 min.
Orange Star - $30 + tax - 25-30 min.
Green Star - $35 + tax - 30-35 min.
Blue Star - $40 + tax - 35-40 min.
Purple Star - $50 + tax - 40-50 min.
Red Star - $50 + tax - 40-50 min.
Black Star - $50 + tax - 40-50 min.
